As you find yourself at the final stages of making a decision, you may find yourself deciding between 2 carpets of different quality. It is wise to choose the highest quality you can afford. Here is why:
The way a carpet performs is directly related to the type of fiber, the amount and quality of the fiber that goes into the pile. The better the type of fiber and the denser it is packed, the better the performance you will receive.
A quality carpet cushion is essential to the life and performance of your carpet.
1 - cushion absorbs up to 90% of the impact of foot traffic, without it the carpet pile has to take all the pounding.
2 - Cushion creates a softer, more comfortable walking surface
3 - Cushion is a great insulation against the cold and minimizes noise too.
When buying carpet cushion, remember, thicker is not always better. A cushion of medium thickness and medium to high density is usually the best choice.

What to do before your new carpet arrives to make sure you have a trouble free installation.
1 - Double check the delivery/installation date
2 - Make sure you know who is taking up the existing  carpet
3 - Find out who is moving the furniture in advance of the installation
4 - Measure door clearances to make sure the new carpet will clear the door bottom.
